Description

The WHISTLER digital handheld radio scanner receives signals from a wide variety of frequency ranges including VHF Lo, Aircraft, VHF Hi, VHF Ham, Government/Military, UHF, Public Service, and Ham. It features SKYWARN, which provides instant access to frequencies used by storm spotters to monitor storm conditions as they are happening. Display the weather event and sound an audio alert for a chosen specific county or counties with the SAME/all-hazards weather alert. Digital AGC instantly compensates the low user audio levels that are common on digital systems.
The radio scanner has an object-oriented user interface that features common data entry, browsing and control methods for every scannable object. The scan list allows arranging, grouping, and scanning objects according to preference. There is also free-form memory organization that allocates memory dynamically and efficiently as it is needed. The V-scanner technology saves complete radio configurations within the radio, for recall into main memory as needed in the field.
The LTR Home Repeater AutoMove feature automatically moves the frequencies to the proper home repeater slots as transmissions are received on the system. The subaudio squelch decoder provides fast and reliable decoding of subaudio squelch signaling with squelch tail elimination. The scanner also quickly sweeps the frequency ranges for transmissions from nearby sources.
