(2) Do I have to have an account with DIRECTV to receive "over-the-air"
HD broadcasts? |

Yes. The new HD Tivo
DIRECTV DVR will not operate without a valid DIRECTV account on file
with DIRECTV. |

What dish equipment is required to receive HD DIRECTV broadcasts? |
|
To receive HD DIRECTV
signals, you must have a
Triple LNB (Phase III) or
AT9 (5-LNB) compatible dish.
We have a few of them listed on our web site for purchase. To ensure that you
have the latest DIRECTV HD satellite reception, you might want to think
about the
newer AT9 (MPEG-4) compatible 5-LNB dish. The HR10-250 is
MPEG-2 compatible, however, if you are planning on upgrading in the
future to MPEG-4 compression technology, you may want to consider the
new AT9 dish. Also, you must sign up with DIRECTV's HD Channel package to
receive the HD DIRECTV channels. This is accomplished by contacting
DIRECTV customer service directly. |

How many inputs does the
HR10-250 have? |

Three. Two inputs for
DIRECTV signal. One input for "over-the-air" HD signals.
However. the
"over-the-air" input is split into two inputs internally by the Tivo
unit for the two ANTSC tuners so that you may record one HD/SD broadcast
while watching another. |

What additional equipment do I need to
receive "over-the-air" HD broadcasts? |

To receive over-the-air
HD broadcasts, you need a HD compatible TV antenna. We have many to
choose from on our web site. HD over-the-air television signals are
broadcast on UHF channels. Therefore, an UHF antenna that meets the
reception needs of your location is required. The easiest way to
determine what type of antenna to purchase is to contact one of our
antenna technicians using our
TV Antenna Selector.
