Additional information about the HR20 from DIRECTV® |
|
To fully
utilize the HR20, you'll need to upgrade
your DIRECTV satellite dish to the newer AT9
dish antenna (5-LNB). The
DIRECTV AT9 dish or the new
AU9S "Slimline" dish are the only
DIRECTV satellite dishes that are capable of
receiving the MPEG4 HD format DIRECTV
programming.
The AT9 and
AU9-S dishes have four outputs; enough
signal feeds for up to four satellite
receivers or two DVR receivers. Should you
need to expand the number of outputs beyond
four, a
WB68 multiswitch can used to expand the
capabilities of the AT9 dish to eight
available outputs total. If more than eight
outputs are required, a
SPAUN 4x12 WBS41202NF or
SPAUN 4x16 WBS41602NF switch can be used
to create 12 or 16 outputs respectively.
Also, from Zinwell, the
WB616 switch can also be used to
generate 16 outputs from an AT9 or AU9-S
dish.
Other notes:
-
Because of the wide-band frequency range
of the Ka/Ku AT9 and AU9-S satellite
dishes, using a diplexer to integrate
OFF-AIR television signals to the RG-6
feeds from the dish will not
work. You must run separate RG-6 lines
from your TV antenna to a H20, HR20, or
HR10-250 receiver when using the AT9 and
AU9-S dishes.
- The
HR20 is a DIRECTV+ PLUS DVR receiver; it
is not a Tivo DVR with Tivo recording
software.
