The DIRECTV Sat-Go provides reception of satellite TV signals in areas with a clear view of the TV satellite in the southern sky. The DIRECTV Sat-Go is not intended for use when operating a motor vehicle. DIRECTV programming available separately. There is an additional fee to mirror programming from an existing DIRECTV account for each DIRECTV Sat-Go receiver.
The Z11’s satellite dish is the part that has the DirecTV symbol
on the inside of the unit. This is the part that must be facing the 101º satellite
in order for the Z11 to work as intended. You must have an
unobstructed view of the southern sky, or in South Carolina at least the
southwestern sky. The dish must be level in order to receive
signal at the coordinates the receiver gives you in the setup.
Determining Antenna
Coordinates
Antenna coordinates
(Direction and Angle numbers) are based on the ZIP code of your location.
You can use these coordinates
when aligning your antenna to the satellites.
1. Turn
on the DIRECTV Sat-Go, press the (POWER) button on the TV display.
2. Select
Repeat Satellite Setup in the Satellite menu.
(You may have to press the ‘back’ button to get to this menu)
The ANTENNA INSTALLATION
screen menu appears.
3. Select
the antenna type Round (1 or 2 LNB). (You must select ‘Round’
when setting up the system or setup will not work)
4. Enter
the ZIP code of your location. Select Continue and then
select Signal Meter. The
appropriate direction
(azimuth) and angle (elevation) display on the screen.
5. Write
down the antenna coordinates that display (Direction and Angle) on the line
below
each illustration.
