At one time Winegard made a series of antennas called CHROMSTAR some had corner directors & open shear Vhf configuration. These were the powerplayers came with factory mounted weatherproof housing Taken off market Why you have to ask them but they were rugged survived yrs of weather abuse & high winds & icing while delivering you a good signal. this newer version does what it says but I wouldnt i

Disagree W/ other Pro. installer on one point only:Older Chromstar antennas failed primarily BECAUSE of the PC card @ the terminal location.Performance was finebut replaced many units otherwise sound because of it.If the card was replaced maybe 2/3 years of life on the antenna itself was gainedbut @ that point were you really doing the cust. a favor? In any case climate may be the difference
