It is a good tuner but it really should have pass through capacity to check antenna circuits easier if nothing else. Local broadcasters have had issues with their transmitter facilities occasionally and it would be nice to be able to just switch it off and check to see if the channel had truly gone off for a minute or if the antenna connections just need checking. I was encourged to purchase this converter by tech support.I also purchased the unit I planned at the same time. I purchased a third unit from [...].I paid the most for CM unit and it has the loest performance of the three.I found it the least easy to setup. This unit is just OK wwith me.

First off I think its horrifically shortsighted for manufacturers to assume that there wont be any need for digital to analog conversion boxes in the future.I live in a rural area and I dont want to pay for TV.This is the only converter box that supports an antenna rotator.I would say that if I had to replace my TV tomorrow I would probably continue to use this converter just because I d

I bought a converter so I could get away from Comcast--wish Id done this much earlier!Excellent picture and sound quality even though the converter / TV are located in a basement room. Its small and fits nicely in the space allocated.

I use all SONY Bravia TVs and live under the approach to LAX - lots of multi-path.I use your converters when there is lots of traffic they are much more interference resistant at the expense of some resolution than the built-in tuners.

I was really surprised at the crystal clear picture!I got a slight high-pitched noise in the audio when I first turned it on.Attenuation before the box got rid of the noise without compromising picture quality.I use a roof antenna.Be sure to put a grounding coupler near the antenna balun and run some copper wire to a long copper pipe in the earth.It really does eliminate local external s
