Are you ready for the 2009 DTV transition? If you use an over-the-air antenna and an analog TV to receive local stations (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, the CW, MyNetwork, and others), you will need a converter box to maintain local TV reception.
The converter box installs between your analog TV and your over-the-air antenna, enabling you to receive crisp, clear digital local DTV programming FREE with NO monthly programming fee. Other features include additional programming with multi-casting , closed captioning, on-screen programming guide, parental control.
After the digital transition, some stations will continue to broadcast an analog signal. Most of these are low power stations or repeater stations, primarily in mountainous and rural areas. Analog pass-through allows you to receive these analog signals as well as digital, while the converter box is still connected to the television.
