It's a great idea, and seems to work fine. The only issue that potential buyers should know about it that it has a fan that makes a high pitch whine. It drives my wife nuts and she wants it turned off as soon as possible.
CHECK your auto's Peak Wattage support.

I have another inverter which I purchased and it's been working fine, however, you need to understand what the peak wattage can do to you battery. You can absolutely kill your battery by inserting an inverter with high peak wattage. You'll find that you'll kill your battery within minutes of leaving the key turned on (engine off) and running an inverter with 300 watts peak on most small cars.
