The CC-7870 signal joiner from Winegard effectively couples and/or combines the signal from multiple antennas. This combiner can eliminate the need for a rotator while allowing everyone in the home to watch any desired channel.
With this combiner, you can join two antennas to eliminate the need of a rotator. Takes 75 Ohm downleads from two different antennas and combines the signals. This unit is power passive on side.
With proper spacing, joining two antennas can be a great alternative to a rotator. It is recommended that you run equal lengths of coax cable from each antenna to the CC-7870 to eliminate multipath and out of phase signals. Always join identical antennas for the best results.
Using a transformer-type antenna coupler as the CC-7870 provides isolation between antennas limiting the combining loss and possible antenna loading to no greater than -3.5 dB to the output signal level.

Goofy - Woodbridge, VA - 1/15/2016 9:20:28 AM The parts inside are larger than the items inside a typical splitter/combiner and so they probably have better performance. My UHF antenna is separate from the VHF and I had an obsolete 7777 amplifier with two inputs. This combiner with no amplifier gives me adequate signal strength on all UHF and VHF channels.

Both antennas were mounted in the attic about 25 feet above ground. I picked up channel 5 in Mobile that is over 71 miles away. I was very impressed with both coupler and antenna.

With the preamp before the coupler.Works great very little if any signal loss...
