Recent Review: Bob - Lombard , IL - 7/17/2014 Elegant, small, works perfect! Easy to install. Gets all the channels even CBS which is VHS! Crystal clear, better than the direct TV dish. Good idea to add a $4 grounding connector to the mast to ground it up to code!

Optimized for the post-2009 TV channels' layout. Excellent product documentation. Best Technical support I have seen so far. DW-77 - Shelton, CT - 3/21/2014 9:11:40 AM Pros: - Designed for the "DTV" frequency range (470 to 700 MHz) - Good gain on all TV channels - Documentation is excellent - Technical support is great. Took the time to understand the challenges I am facing at my location and helped me find the best solution. - Warranty: Antennas Direct advertises "lifetime".
Cons - did not find real "Cons", but here are some "Suggestions & Comments":
- For TV, the "standard reference" is the dipole, and antenna gain measurements are usually in dBd. Antennas Direct advertises Gain measured in dBi. Not a bad thing, just be aware (and apply the correction if/when needed). - It might perform better in High VHF, if equipped with a wide band balun.
Excellent in attic antenna Hal - Redmond, WA - 11/8/2013 11:36:03 PM I am about 13 miles from the TV stations and on the back side of a hill. My antennas are in the attic. So I really needed a good antenna. The main channels I am trying to receive are 4, 5, 7 and 9. 4, 5 and 7 are UHF and 9 is VHF. I have a DB4e for UHF and a Clear Stream 5 (CS5) for VHF. The CS5 came with a combiner to combine the two antennas together. Both the DB4e and the CS5 recieve well and fit well in the attic. Each antenna is mounted on a T hung from the rafters with a swivel joint, so I can turn the antenna and aim it at the transmitter. On bad days, I can't watch channel 7, but the problem is the signal not the antenna. It seems to have more to do with wind than with rain. I tried adding a PA18 amplifier, but it made no improvement.
TV Signal Strength Meter vs Weather Conditions
Weather Conditions: no wind or rain

VHF CS5 - Aimed at Ch 9 CH 9: 70% Good picture
Weather Condition: Rainy and windy
UHF DB4e - Aimed at Ch 4 CH 4: 90-100% Good picture CH 5: 80-90% Good picture CH 7: 40-70% Not watchable
VHF CS5 - Aimed at Ch 9 CH 9: 70% Good picture
Best fringe area antenna for $$, attic friendly, 2 portions allow you to adjust the beam width/overlap between sections No Snowhomish - Bothell, WA - 4/29/2013 11:02:43 PM It picks up all available stations within 34 mile but not beyond 40 miles when mounted in an attic.
I do have a chimney but HOA rules to not allow antennas and the law only protect you against satellite dish restrictions passed after a certain date (which I forget) which most HOAs ignored that deadline and lost that option. Most of my channels are in the same location but it also picked up 2 stations 60 degrees apart without any adjustments
product great and price right!!! cost-right - New Mexico, New Mexico - 5/14/2012 We live approximately 40 miles south of the towers in Albuquerque NM and had struggled with reception in the past with several channels fading in and out at times. This antenna was not impressive to see for the first time but it performs remarkably.Quick set-up though I did have to rescan the TV several times while adjusting for optimum signals.Solid Signal was well under other vendors p
Awesome antenna Kool-aid - Gresham, WI - 4/30/2012 I purchased this antenna for my camper which is located between 50-55 miles from the transmitters.I put it on a mast and mounted the mast to a tree (about 20ft agl).I pointed the antenna in the general direction of the transmitters.Due to a lack of a taller ladder I wasnt able to do an accurate job of aiming the antenna.** DIDNT MATTER ** The antenna did an awesome job of picking up th
