Flex Port 1 and 2 are for the international dish only, they will not pass off-air or cable tv signals

Q. Will this work with my OTA TV Antenna?
A. No, there arent any inputs for TV antenna because this is a wide band multiswitch.
Q. Can I use this to add an International Satellite Dish to my system?
A. Yes, in fact its one of the only Multiswitches you can use to combine international satellites 95W and 72.5W with a DIRECTV Dish.
Q. Ive got a DVR that takes two lines, can I just run one of my lines into this and split it both tuners?
A. No, you must run all four satellite signals into this switch to get eight outputs.
Q. Does this unit require power?
A. No, this switch doesnt require a power supply. It actually draws voltage from the receivers. |
DESCRIPTION
This is the proper multiswitch to use for an installation that does not need whole-home service. It provides up to 8 tuner support and will handle signals from all five DIRECTV satellite locations (99, 101, 103, 110, 119) as well as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 signals and Ka/Ku band signals. Installations for whole-home service should use the SWM-8.

Works fine with HR21-xxx HD-DVR receivers with S-Band converters. Dish is the SlimLine 5 / KU9 with 4 connections. Attached all 4 connection to input side of multi-switch ran dual feeds to 3 HD-DVRs for dual tuner connectivity.
