The CA-8800 is used to split off the frequencies for the FM band. This is a great way to utilize your TV antenna to pull in long distance FM signals. Even when running a VHF antenna straight to an FM receiver you can get all sorts of audio distortion. With an insertion loss of -0.4 dB, this unit is far more efficient than using standard splitters, that have an average of -4 dB. The Winegard CA-8800 only passes the FM band to get clear crisp audio.

Exactly what I needed! TaichiFrank - Bethpage, ge New Y - 3/28/2013 Did not want to run another coax cable up to the roof antenna and this splitter fit the bill. No signal loss to my 60 HTDV and now I can have HD-FM from my Sony Tuner! Best of both worlds.
worked as advertised Pizza Man - Chicago, Chicago - 3/28/2013 Bought one of these couplers for my garage theater.Have one coax cable from an antenna that supplies signal to an FM receiver monitor and digital TV tuner. After installing the coupler all devises work much better than with the previous splitter purchased at a local retail store.Worked so well I purchased one for Moms house to split a signal that runs from the roof antena to the basement.
