The ELE9000 features a high-frequency capacitor and choke coils that work together to provide maximum reduction of AC line noise interference. The result is pristine audio as well as improvements in video too.
Power surges are caused by any number of events. This can include anything from thunderstorms to happenings by the power company. In the event of a catastrophic surge such as lightning, this device uses thermal fuses to completely disconnect AC power to all of your connected equipment, ensuring your components safety.
Power surges send excess amounts of electricity that can damage your connected equipment if not properly protected. The Joule rating is a measure of a surge protectors ability to "clamp" this excess energy down to a safe level - the higher the rating, the more protection your equipment has.
