Follow up. Aragon - Hillside, IL - 8/21/2015 8:47:16 PM This antenna has already survived two heavy rain storms. Even during the very strong wind picture was crystal clear without distortion of any kind. This antenna delivers beautiful picture quality with saturated colors, sharpness, etc. Picture of cable or dish TV doesn't get any better. Highly recommended.
Great antenna! I live about 15 miles from the TV transmitter in a suburban area near Chicago. My big old antenna - Yagi type, about 20' above the ground was able to pull about 35 channels. This one, after simple installation and rescanning my TV pulled 80 channels! Most of them are HSN, religious, Mexican and even Muslim channels. Aragon - Hillside, IL - 8/1/2015 12:50:28 PM Compact, easy to install and most of all it's working. Do I need a better one? I don't think so.
Better than advertised! Rob - Stoughton, MA - 3/17/2015 8:24:37 AM I've recently become real interested in cutting the cable but watching the Superbowl at a friend's house who only has an antenna really convinced me. Problem is, he lives in Boston and I'm 16 miles from the TV antennas. Solid Signal doesn't try to upsell you and they were confident that this antenna would work. I tried an indoor one from Wally world but only got a few channels and not well. I put this on a 10' pole mounted on the gable end of my house, so it's about 7' above the roofline. I pointed it towards the antennas and searched for stations. The only thing I can say is WOW! Free HD TV that is at least as good as FIOS--possibly better. My only concern is that when the trees develop leaves it may effect the signal, but for now it is performing better than hoped for. This antenna even pulls in signals from Providence RI--19 miles to the South though it's definitely not aimed in that direction.
Great antenna for urban/suburban area Jeremy - Chattanooga, TN - 9/30/2014 8:12:42 PM I bought this to replace a primarily UHF antenna because I had issues picking up high band VHF. This antenna works great for both UHF and VHF! Great value and small footprint, I have it installed in my attic.
I used it for inside attic, short distance to TV transmitter. Roger - Frederick, MD - 8/19/2014 10:50:06 PM I installed this antenna inside and attic with an asphalt shingle roof (perhaps two layers of roofing). I pointed the HD1080X antenna to the NNE, in the direction of the Baltimore stations (just 7 miles away) and got a great signal. Also, an Annapolis station (17 miles away) was almost watchable and it is about 130 degrees from where the antenna was pointed.
I thought that the instructions and drawings that came with this antenna could have been a lot clearer but I still managed to figure it out and get it put together pretty quickly.
This was my third order with Solid Signal. Each time I got good advice when I called and my order came quickly and the equipment was un-damaged.
Great antenna period. Walt - Saint Helens, OR - 1/21/2014 12:10:19 PM I live 30 miles, as the crow fly, from any TV broadcasts. I set this antenna up on a five foot mast and enjoyed Good 35 stations. I extended the mast 10 feet more, using a trypod for added support, and WOW, my signal improved 200%. I now get full strength and added four channels. The picture is crystal clear with excellent HD. I feel the picture is better than Cable and Sat. I am a VERY happy camper!!! :)
runs good Buzeephamous - Alexandria, VA - 2/28/2014 5:15:02 PM Mounted outdoors, just above the roofline on a mast mounted to the wall. Getting the local DC channels, including RF-7 (high VHF), getting the Baltimore channels 42 miles away, and getting the Annapolis channel about 28 miles away, all with no amplifier. 70 degrees from left to right (351 degrees to 61 degrees per TVfool.com) without a rotator and without making any adjustments after day one.
