Works well, installation easy. Roger - Thurmont, MD - 8/28/2013 3:02:28 PM I was very happy with my new TV antenna installation so I thought I';d see if I could get better FM reception with a new FM antenna. I have an antenna tower mounted next to the house which has a new Winegard TV antenna at the top at about 40'; above the ground. I mounted the FM antenna about 8'; below the top of the tower to ensure that there would be no interference between the FM and TV antennas, Winegard suggests at least 4'; of seperation. My antenna is not above the roof but it is mounted on the side of the house that faces towards the stations that I wanted to receive. The HD6010 antenna includes a transformer- you can either hook up the antenna with coaxial cable or the twin-lead type of cable. I used the coaxial cable and a lightening arrester and hooked the ground wire up to the same copper-clad rod that my TV antenna is grounded with. The FM antenna is very simple to put together, just a few vanes to pull out and snap into position. The catalog says that the range of this antenna is 30 miles but I am getting Washington stations that are over 40 miles away.
