The hbu 22 is a great antenna it is cut for channel 7 and is a nice light antenna, uhf as well as vhf has been a great performer and the price is right antenna man - east aurora, NY - 8/25/2014 12:01:27 PM We have been using antenna craft uhf and uhf vhf antennas for many years and have had great results with them, we like using the hbu22 because it performs great and does not have large elements that the winds in this area can damage, If you don't have a vhf channel in your area than you don't need this antenna, use a u4000 four bay uhf antenna you can't beat the performance on it, long runs or multiple TV's use the 10g212 preamp for weaker stations.
Perfect HD reception CrazyKenyan - Tampa, FL - 1/3/2014 10:47:50 AM Works as advertised. Easy install in attic. No need to ground. Receiving clearly every HD OTA signal available.
Great antenna. Performs very well in Dallas area, well built, install in minutes. Replaced an old all channel and 22 works much better. Running 8 way splitter with a preamp. 80 channels, use 21 of them. daniel - garland, TX - 8/9/2013 11:52:17 AM Well worth the money. And great performer.
Works great, strong signal 36.5 miles away, real channel 11. Easy assembly and seems well built. swen2jef - Embarrass, MN - 7/17/2013 8:49:03 PM see short summary
compact & neat jimmmy - Benson NC, Benson NC - 3/28/2013 This antenna is good for the price I recommend using industrial glue at the joints for better durability. it lacks reenforcement sleeves where vhf elements connect to the boom. Get a Winegard Pre-amp for better reception. also a Variable attenuator to back off the gain. You can have too much signal & it will wash out the signal you dont need the biggest antenna to get the signal anymore just the

BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS! BioMedical Engi - San Diego, iego CA - 1/8/2013 I recently purchased the Antennacraft HBU22 as a gift for a close friend that has fought with rabbit ears for a very long time. Due to building constraints the HBU22 needed to be mounted in the attic. I mounted the HBU22 to a 2 foot section of PVC secured to the rafters with pipe straps and then deployed the elements. The coax lead in went through the ceiling in a closet to the TV. I used inform
Ill give it an A- NEPender - Surf City, City NC - 12/25/2011 Installed on the steel roof of my step-mothers house using a Ronard 722 mount pointed ata heading between 91 (one tx site) and 118 (other tx site). Receives signals VERY well from over 40 miles away despite beight very light (about 5 pounds) and looks kinda flimsy. With antenna pointed at the same heading between 91 & 118 receives signals from transmitters (VHF & UHF) that are at headings 30
Great Antenna Joe P. - Cleveland, land OH - 3/10/2011 I installed this antenna in my attic and it is pointed through the wall of my house (with plastic siding). The antenna receives all signals within 37 miles in the UHF & VHF band. Most of the signals are within 108 and 145 degrees (compass heading) but one is at 225 degrees. It does not pick up one signal that is 45 miles away.
Gets the channels in the Charleston Area. We are 7 miles away from the main towers and it is mounted in the attic. BCiocco - Mount Pleasant, SC - 4/9/2013 7:06:44 PM The HBU22 is pretty easy to set up and install. I have mounted two of them, one at my house and another at my mom's house a couple blocks away. Both are attic installs.
I receive the 14 Charleston stations pretty well. The towers are only seven miles away. I was able to receive them with a coat hanger antenna, but they had a fair amount of macro blocking in bad weather.
I was a little disappointed that I could not receive the 15 KW (according to TV Fool) Summerville station that is 20 miles away. The next closest station is 50 miles and any more than that is 70 miles plus. I do not know of an antenna that will pull them in from the attic.
Overall, I am pleased. The antenna is a bit big to fit between the rafters, but I was able to get it mounted in an area that is aimed will enough to get 70+ - 90+ on every channel on the meter on my TiVo.

Better Than Advertised Mike - Modesto, CA (ce - 8/24/2012 The broadcast towers for all major channels are 45 to 55 miles away; this antenna picks up all of them mounted to a 5 ft pole on my roof. Im very satisfied with the reception. Inexpensive easy to handle solution for free TV programming.
