L-Com Connectivity Product 10-100 base-t lightning and surge protector (ALS-CAT5W)

The Hyperlink AL-CAT5EW Lightning Protector provides superior lightning and surge protection with improved frequency response for both indoor and outdoor 10/100 Base-T networks. The unit meets or exceeds CAT5e performance for the two data pairs. The design uses high-frequency transmission line layout techniques to maintain an optimum 100 ohms balanced impedance in the signal path. These techniques and the use of Ultra-Low Capacitance Protection Arrays provide superior high-frequency response and improved return loss for the data pairs. In addition, the unit is compatible with 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. Integral to the design is protection for the two Ethernet data pairs and the PoE DC power feed. This unit supports normal and reverses polarity PoE.
