DIRECTV Residential HD Receiver with DVR and Remote (HR24)

I've always had fast shipping and excellent customer service (especially from Ryan) when purchasing from Solid Signal! I have been a customer for many years, and they are a godsend when it comes to not having to deal with DirecTV. You always speak with a live person, and there is virtually no wait when you call. I've bought at least two HR-24 DVRs from them over the past couple of years because DirecTV not only doesn't offer them anymore, but won't service them either. In our particular case, we'd have to upgrade to a Genie system...and we've got 8 HR-24s and 1 HR-21 with shows and movies recorded on them that we do not want to lose. Solid Signal is a lifesaver with their reconditioned (like new) HR-24s. I've also bought other parts like SWM switches, LNBs, and a DECA, all with positive results. 100% satisfied!

I had problems with my DVR recording for about 6 1/2 wks, which was pretty stressful. I was told I should contact Solid Signal for a new one. I’m glad I did. Customer service was great!! Mike answered the call and was very pleasant and hooked me up to a Service Rep, Jason, who was incredibly helpful and very patient and kind, with instructions for where I needed to get the serial and model numbers. He took my order and made it clear what needed to be done after receiving the new DVR, and call him for the completion of the set up. The whole experience went very smoothly. I will definitely recommend Solid Signal to others if they need anything.

Excellent service, super fast, very good communication.

There were multiple questions that I had with the purchase, but they were handled quickly. We i received the FIRST cable box it had a bad hard drive and called to have it replaced. Customer service went smoothly and besides waiting through several FEDEX delays it finally arrived. Installation went smoothly, but the activation process did not. On hold for several minutes with no answer. Finally called Directv to get it activated. Overall I would purchase another receiver if needed.
