Have you ever wondered if you need a TV antenna preamplifier? Benefit from a stronger antenna signal for better reception. The best signal booster can now be yours. This is how to get a better signal. Increase your HDTV reception. These and other great TV antenna tips can only be found at Solid Signal!
The Channel Master Titan2 TV antenna preamplifier increases signals received by your antenna. Make up for signal loss from long cable runs and splitters without over-driving your tuner. This antenna amplifier is a medium gain, low noise preamplifier allows weaker signals at the antenna to be amplified to a viewable strength. It’s ideal for installations in which broadcast towers are located at widely varying distances.
The Channel Master Titan2 medium gain preamplifier is a two-part unit: an outdoor amplification unit that’s mounted upon the mast of your antenna system, and an indoor unit that powers the outdoor amplification unit. The indoor unit is stationed indoors and connects to the outdoor unit via coaxial cable.
Remote power supply sends voltage up coax cable to the amp, eliminating the need for power at the source

A Pre-Amplifier (pre-amp) is a mast or antenna
mounted amplifier used primarily to eliminate "snow" on the TV
screen. Snow is actually electrical noise that is generated by the TV receiver
and other electrical devices. The objective of any antenna installation is to
deliver enough signal to the TV set to override the noise (snow). A
"weak" signal is one that is not strong enough to override the level
of the noise in the set. Another obstacle is the signal loss incurred while
traveling through the transmission line connecting the antenna to the TV set.
An antenna that has acceptable gain at the antenna tap offs but encounters
excessive loss due to long cable runs will also deliver a "snowy"
picture to the TV set due to not enough signal makes it to the set to override
the noise level. A pre-amp would be used to compensate for the losses in the
transmission line as well as the noise level of the
MATV Mast Mounted
The Titan range of mast mounted amplifiers has
been completely reengineered and updated. These amplifiers represent the
ultimate in preamplifier performance. They are designed for use as an ultra low
noise, ultra high gain preamplifier for deepest fringe applications and MATV
Their very high signal handling also
makes them suitable for use as a mast mounted, ultra low noise distribution
amplifier for use in small MATV systems. All models feature 75 ohm, input and
output connections in line with modern headend engineering practice.
SPECIFICATIONS: • Number of Inputs: 1

The power supply that comes with
this amp goes inside the building, so you do not have to run a separate cable
for power. The unit inside the building injects voltage up the coax
cable, so there is no need to put a power supply outside. Be sure not
to place any devices in-line between the pre-amp and power supply, or the
voltage will be blocked and the unit will not function

Short lived, pulled in more channels while it worked mary14889 - Van Etten, NY - 2/8/2016 4:51:32 PM Like the other two reviewers so far, mine lasted only two years as well. Most of the channels I was getting suddenly dropped out. Many channels returned after bypassing the amplifier, but not as many as when it was working. I was getting 38 stations with the amplifier but haven't made a study of it without- it requires quite a study using the rotor to pull all of them in. Will try a Winegard amplifier next time.
Great distance quality but short life Joe - Dothan, AL - 2/27/2011 pulled in stations up to 100 miles with great picture. My only complaint is that I had two to go bad in two years.
Did not last a year before it malfunctioned Dale - Oronogo, MO - 6/2/2015 9:37:52 AM Worked as promise but also had a short life. I have it mounted in my attic and out of the weather but it lasted only 8 months before it died.
