This dual input pre-amp takes one 75 ohm lead for VHF and combines with another 75 ohm lead for UHF for a low loss amplification. This unit has a built in selectable FM Trap.

  • Input: VHF 75 Ohm / UHF 75 Ohm

  • Output: 75 Ohm

  • Gain: VHF 17 dB / UHF 19 dB

  • Noise: VHF 2.9 dB / UHF 2.9 dB

  • Selectable Trap -15dB

  • Durable construction, mounts directly to TV antenna mast

  • An efficient way to join to antennas, by eliminating the insertion loss of an antenna combiner

  • Separate UHF VHF inputs

  • Variable FM Trap -12 dB

  • Maximum total input 110,000mv VHF, 93,000 UHF

  • Only for joining one VHF antenna with one UHF, will NOT pass VHF/UHF on just one antenna

  • Includes: Pre-amp, power supply, and 6 foot coax cable

  • You can use the 1296F as a variable attenuator to control the Db Gain

  • Technician recommended replacement option would be the AP8700

Features 75 input for convenience and easier installation. Universal housing can be used with any off-air TV antenna. Made of high impact ABS material, mast mounted for easy installation. Flexible polyethylene boot covers on 75 ohm.   Zinc-plated steel hardware; all mounting hardware included.

Selectable FM trap reduces FM signals (88-108 MHz) -15 dB to prevent overload, tunable FM trap reduces a 3 MHz band width by -12 dB. Both adjustable — switchable without opening the housing.
Transistor burn-out virtually eliminated with specialized circuitry featuring fast recovery diode that protects against lightning-caused pulses. Operating temperatures -40° to +140° F. 117 VAC UL and CSA approved power supply is included. (Does not include F-connectors.)

U.S. Patent No. D335,887, D358,365, 5,515,240 (Power supply housing design)

A preamplifier is used to overcome any losses in coax cable from the antenna to your TV. Preamplifiers cannot pull in signal or extend the reception range of an antenna.

We use a Winegard HD-9095 or HD-9032 for UHF and a YA-1713 for VHF. It works perfectly to couple the two antennas onto one VHF/UHF cable with minimal loss. The UHF antenna is on a rotator and gets weakest (purple/pink)stations while the VHF is fixed on the distant weak station and getstwo local stations also. The tunable FM trap targets strong local FM which will kill your VHF but appears on t

Im using this in combination with two large Yagis: 91XG-TDS (UHF) and Y10-7-13 (VHF-HI).The antennas are both mounted in my attic with about 75 ft of cable to the TV.I was previously using a uhf-vhf splitter with a cheap distribution amp. With the old set up I would get 2-5 channels depending on weather but was happy given the distance.Im now able to receive 8 UHF channels from approxi
Great for separate antennas!

Most areas have VHF and UHF channels and where signals are over 40 miles away separate antennas work best. Strong local FM statione WILL interfere with VHF and the 2870s tunable trap solves this issue. I aimed the VHF YA-1713 antenna and got 100% signal on WHYY-12 along with two other much stronger VHF channels from a different direction. The UHF antenna is a HD-9032 and gets local UHF plus ALL
