The Wilson Pro 1050 features a unique dual-amplifier system designed to compensate for signal loss caused by long cable runs. Signal loss or “attenuation” occurs over all kinds of coaxial cables. The longer the cable run, the more significant the loss will be. Using high-quality cable designed for long runs, like Wilson400, reduces this loss, as does running cable through walls and ceilings to keep cable length as short as possible. Nevertheless, some loss is inevitable.

The Wilson Pro 1050 aims to greatly reduce this by using a dual amplifier system composed of a main signal booster and a supplementary inline booster. The Pro 1000 main amplifier unit boosts the signal first and communicates with the inline Pro 1050 booster. The two amplifiers work together to determine the actual signal bleed along the cable run, and supply sufficient boost to compensate for this lost signal.

The Pro 1050 signal booster system has been tested and approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to compensate for cable-run signal loss without exceeding the maximum-allowed system gain. The Wilson Pro 1050 uses the strongest downlink power permitted by the FCC to provide the largest possible indoor signal coverage. The new Wilson Electronics XDR (Extra Dynamic Range) technology balances and compensates for strong incoming signal to prevent system shutdowns. The Pro 1050 is ideal for large installations that use long lengths of coaxial cable. It supports multiple simultaneous users, and it supports all cellular devices.
