Better than Channel Master! You Will Not Go Wrong With This! CoRbEtT - Juliette, GA - 12/12/2013 6:38:21 PM I was looking for a Winegard AP8275 Preamp, found out they were no longer made. Ordered a Channel Master, bad out of the box, even checked it with my IFR service monitor, almost no signal at all. I sent it to Channel Master and they stated they could not find a problem, they sent it back, reinstalled it, worked but only lasted 3 hours then NOTHING! Bought the Antennacraft 10G202, not only does it meet my expectations, it EXCEEDED THEM! I have ordered another one along with an Winegard HD8200 for my Aunt who lives in the toughest area I have ever tried to set up! BTW Solid Signal ROCKS!
Excelent amplifier even in urban environment. OTA in Toronto - Toronto, ON - 5/7/2013 2:09:46 PM This is an excellent pre-amplifier even in an urban environment. My antenna is located only 4 miles from the CN Tower where the signal arrives at around 60db. Combined with the Antenna Craft DB4e, I get good reception from Buffalo where I can receive one channel that arrives at -18db over a building that is 37 feet higher than the antenna. The angle the antenna is tilted is 17.5 degrees to point over the building. I am guessing that it actually arrives at the antenna at -28db. No over driving of the amplifier. There is a lot of multi-pathing. Very impressive! The only thing going for my location is that the CN Tower is at a 90 degree angle to the signals coming from Buffalo. In addition, I mounted my antenna on the side of my house in my driveway so that my house along with others act as a barrier to the strong signals. Even so, even when the antenna is used in the open, when I was sitting the antenna, I still received most Buffalo channels coming in at less than -1 db.
