Works BMc44 - Toppenish, WA - 3/26/2017 7:00:09 AM Older metal clad single wide, low-e windows, cell tower 10 miles distant, but line
of sight. Not surprisingly device needed the complimentary antenna. Works very well with phone and iPad.
Works as advertised! Ancient Geek - Sunapee, NH - 3/23/2017 10:15:21 AM I was given a Weboost as part of a program in exchange for an honest and timely review. I own a vacation home that has very weak cellular signal, so I thought Iftd try the Weboost to see if it would help.
The Weboost consists of an outdoor antenna, a booster module and an indoor antenna module. The user, places the booster module near a window, connects the outdoor antenna, places the outdoor antenna outside the window and runs the flat cable to a 6ft booster input cable. The booster is then connected to the indoor antenna with a 25ft cable. Both the 6ft and 25ft cables are very small gauge coax cable.
Prior to setting up the Weboost,
I walked around my house looking for a window with the best signal. I basically have a single bar of signal everywhere in my house, but I found one window where I could get two bars, so I chose that one for my test.
When I opened the box, the first item on top is the registration instructions. Rather ironically, the registration process seemed like the least well thought out process in the box. It took more time than it should have for this reason. Once registered, the system components are all very well labeled with Step numbers and helpful instructions on each component. The constraints of physical packaging led to the location of the indoor antenna at the bottom of the box even though it was the next to last assembly step and the final assembly step was on the previous layer of items in the box. However, the components were all popery labeled, so it was fairly intuitive to look for Step 5 somewhere else, since Step 4 and Step 6 were on the same layer and there was clearly a step missing.
Everything went together very well and it all looks very nice. It feels like a quality product in all respects. After plugging in the power adapter the system seems to come on quickly. I stood a few feet away in front of the indoor antenna and had three bars of signal where I previous had a single bar. I then placed a call to another phone of mine and left a long winded voicemail message for myself to evaluate the call quality. When I listened to the message, the audio was very crisp and clear.
Other thoughts and opportunities:
1. I recommend the company take another stab at the registration process. That isnftt very clear.
2. The outdoor antenna seems like it was designed for use in double hung windows where the screens are on the outside of the window. This is not the case for casement or awning windows. I think they should have a key slot for a screw in the back of the antenna...or a bracket, so it could be mounted securely to the house outside the window. They only provide double sided tape.
3. All of the components are connected via cables, so you need to consider cable routing in your plans for locating and connecting all of the components.
4. Weboost is recommend for homes up to 1200 sq. ft., so it might not work well in a significantly larger home.
Overall, I think the Weboost is a good product that is well made and does what it says it does. I would recommend it to a friend under the right circumstances.
Works great KingKamp - Red Deer, AB - 2/16/2017 12:00:22 PM The booster works very well in our fifth wheel trailer! After talking to customer support, they sent us a free antenna and the cell service is now uninterrupted. We are 100 percent satisfied with the product and the customer service is awesome
Wooks Great Tluloff - Cedar Falls, IA - 1/23/2017 12:15:22 PM We had a very weak to no signal in the lower level and a poor signal in the upper level. I had to install a outside antenna with the booster upstairs and the inside antenna in the lower level. Now my best signal is in the lower level.I my need to install a second inside antenna for the rest of the house.
It works Leaping - Sopo, ME - 1/22/2017 3:15:12 AM We have a weak signal in our condo and this product has helped. Probably need to get the outside antenna for best results. Why did I wait so long?
It works schade - Muskoka, ON - 1/15/2017 5:00:09 AM The unit is working as expected and has saved me a lot of aggravation due to opd calls.
Works for me Rockden24330 - Fries, VA - 1/15/2017 3:15:11 AM Live in very low reception area. Only could get signal one place in my house. After installing booster signal was not very strong. WeBoost sent me the free outside antenna which worked great. Now I can talk anywhere in my house however my house isnftt very large. Works for my needs.
It works! MichKabay - Plainfield, VT - 10/14/2016 8:15:09 AM AT&T in hills of Vermont. One or ZERO bars in my office -- constantly losing calls. Installed this unit two weeks ago and bars consistently at 4 now. I placed the receiver in a window facing towards the valley and the indoor antenna on my desk two inches from the phone, which I have placed in a holder. Works great! No more fuzzy calls, no more lost connections.
Makes Country Life Possible! Sally in KW - King William, VA - 9/20/2016 11:46:06 AM I bought the weBoost a month ago because we had finally gotten rid of our old land line. The cell service and satellite internet service was very poor. We cancelled the satellite internet and got the wifi card from Verizon. With weBoost my cell service is good 3-4 bars and my internet service is acceptable and much cheaper. My husband and I operate several businesses out of our home and the weBoost makes the country life so much better.
It works just fine Scandi - Hopewell Junction, NY - 9/2/2016 4:30:15 AM My signal that I get off the air is very very weak when I first connected the unit in did not work. After adding a next external antenna as suggested by tech-support my signal is not the greatest but it does work.
Glad I bought it carol - Pekin, IN - 8/28/2016 6:45:13 AM My internet was always shutting down because of sketchy service but since I got the weBoost it hasnftt shut down at all. I am so glad I took the chance and bought the weBoost.
Excellent MikeTysonLive - Las Vegas, NV - 8/26/2016 1:00:33 AM Unit came though and solved all my poor reception and dropped calls
Super Product wldon - Harrington, ME - 8/17/2016 10:15:22 AM I had so little faith in that the EQO would work that I removed the packaging materials very carefully so I could reuse them to send the unit(s) back. Not only does the system work but it, and the support staff as well, is exceptional - far exceeding my expectations. Thank you. P.S. BTW Iftm keeping the unit.
Awesome Willie - Afton, TN - 8/14/2016 7:00:10 AM Our service went from one bar to four and five! We are now able to watch videos. The kids are so excited!
Works as Advertised! Upstate Ron - Plattsburgh, NY - 8/11/2016 5:00:14 AM I highly recommend the EQO system. When AT&T went from 3G to 4G, my wireless data link weakened to yield poor signal strengths between -111 and -115 dBm. Only during a few early morning and late evening hours did I gain internet access at a stronger strength of -105 or -107. The EQO system coupled with an indoor window antenna now gives me 24/7 access, with strengths as low as -87, most are in the middle -90fts, and during the peak mid-day and early evening hours I get signals within a range of -97 to -109. As I write this report (3:45 EDT), my readings within 2 feet of the antenna is -95, and at 10 feet, -107. I was able to connect to the Web very quickly at -107.
To connect my laptop to access AT&T Wireless, I: (a) lay my Samsung Galaxy Tab S LTE tablet near the EQO antenna (where the signal is the strongest), (b) activate the Tabletfts Mobile HotSpot, and (c) connect the laptop via the Hotspot. It works! I am thankful for the EQO system and the weBoost support staff that helped me work through some early installation issues.
Does Work! nich - Wrightsville, PA - 7/22/2016 3:31:02 AM I am now getting 3 or 4 bars inside a 3 room area. My house has aluminum siding which prevents a good signal, except if I stood next to a couple of windows. Now I get good reception in most areas of the 3 rooms. Iftm Pleased!
It does what it sayfts itftll do. Darren W Taylor - Billings, MO - 7/14/2016 7:00:53 AM I purchased this with the confidence that I could return it in 30 days if I wasnftt satisfied. I am completely satisfied with the weBoost eqo. My main concern for it was improving my data speed for my home internet, and it produced excellent results. I live in a very rural part of Missouri, in the woods. Although there is a cell tower about 3 miles from my home, there are hills and trees for the signal to contend with. The results: before the weBoost eqo I had a download speed of appox 7mbps and after the installation it raised it to appox 17 and even sometimes up to 25 mbps. I had to do some moving of the equipment before I found a good spot to place it, and may still tinker with it a bit to see if I can improve it more, but as of now, I am very happy with the purchase. Thank you weBoost!
Worked great Sailor - New Harmony, IN - 6/13/2016 2:30:44 AM Worked as intended. Definitely worth the investment.
Amazing Product! MediaMelanie - San Diego, CA - 6/2/2016 10:30:18 AM The most annoying thing in the world is having a cell conversation that drops the call. Not anymore! The weBoost eqo strengthens cell signal even in horrible reception areas! A must for anyone who struggles with the whole inCan you hear me nowin thing.
Works great! Sroyston - Hilo, HI - 5/19/2016 5:15:14 AM Initially I had it hooked up backwards and saw no improvement. Once I realized the directions/terminology are reverse of the mobile boosters, it worked great. Putting the powered/booster side near the window, and the antenna in the room I needed signal boosted - we went from zero cell (hollow-tile office) to almost full bars.
It Really Works But Is Bulky The34Car - Beavercreek, OH - 3/26/2017 9:00:10 AM The weBoost eqo really does improve 4G LTE signal indoors. If youftre suffering from a poor signal, this should help tremendously; assuming you have access to a window with window screen. I gave it only four stars because there are two units that go inside and they are a decent size. Also they connect via cables, so you will have to deal with wires cluttering things up.
Good device Mike31 - Santa Cruz, CA - 12/14/2016 12:15:56 PM Needed external ant. - once in place, all is well.
Does the job! Thoth - Beaufort, NC - 10/8/2016 11:30:18 AM I bought the weBoost eqo a couple of weeks ago. It is doing just what it is marketed to do. I havenftt had a dropped call in my house since I installed it. Before, I had to go outside to get a decent signal.
So far so good One Tower - Parker, CO - 10/2/2016 2:00:20 AM I purchased the eqo about a month ago because we were getting very poor cell reception, there is only one tower in our area. After installing, reception has improved. We have been using for a month and drop/poor quality calls have decreased dramatically.
Works great for my house were i get no signal Ahancock95 - Niangua, MO - 10/1/2016 10:04:17 AM I bought a month ago and has been a great product would love to have one for my car
Great product Majorron - Lamar, SC - 8/28/2016 8:00:18 AM I had very poor cell phone service in my house after putting a metal roof on. I could hardly make an outgoing call and any incoming would drop time I answered. Needed my phone due to a sick mom and for work. Was going to have to either put in a land line or move. Tried this product and it works great. Very seldom have a dropped call and out going calls work great also. Great product if you need a little cell phone boost. Thanks weboost!
Easy setup 71bnlee - Polson, MT - 8/1/2016 3:00:41 AM Spotty boost. Works good when it Works. Need to be within 10 feet of unit. Need to find external antenna to boost signal more.. Very portable.
Works pretty well dotrodg - Dannemora, NY - 7/4/2016 5:45:27 AM I bought this a month ago. I could not make a call inside my log cabin living area. I also have a metal roof. I did not want to install an antenna outside my house. In the attic however I did have service. I spoke to the people at Weboost and they suggested this model itfts not as strong as the others but it does work. I placed the Weboost in the attic and ran the wire through the floor to the top of the kitchen cabinets. We have an open floor plan and I can now get service throughout for the main floor.
I did not give this five stars because I still get some dropped calls. They did send me an additional antenna to place outside. I have not had time to set this up yet Iftm not sure that it will help. I do not get service in the basement but I did not expect to as they did tell me that it would only work in one room.
Delivered as promised Robert - Cripple Creek, CO - 6/28/2016 11:45:58 AM I now get cell service in the middle of no where. Thatfts great!
Low coverage in house Joenealhurt - Macon, MS - 3/12/2017 7:45:12 AM Does not have very far reach in my house need one with more ranch
just works ok KCDez - Albany, NY - 12/7/2016 6:45:12 AM Brought this hoping that it would increase signal strength in my rural home. I am not
seeing much improvement. Easy to set up.
Okay Linda H - Bath, NY - 9/1/2016 4:00:17 AM Not as great as I hoped for. but okay. Easy set up.
wish i knew if it was really making service better BRENTON - Excelsior Springs, MO - 8/19/2016 2:00:32 AM bought it because the lte signal from tmobile isnftt strong enough to ge in the house most of the time. put it in a window where I got the best signal and hooked up the wired antenna. as long as im sitting within 5 feet of the output antenna, i get better service but not the 1500 sqft advertised.
Works good in a single room Greggkm - Springfield, MO - 7/19/2016 10:00:21 AM I have T-Mobile and a Verizon phone. One is GSM the other is CDMA. Both LTE. HOWEVER Verizon is XLTE very fast. The unit works well with both. On Mobile I went from 1 bar to 3. On Verizon from 2 bars to 4-5 bars. Just remember this is only good in a.single room. It fades back to no assist further you go out of that room it is in. These units are kind of expensive. But if your desperate for a cell signal we pay the price. Remember this will only slightly amplify a signal you already have. If your not getting any signal this does not help.
