The SIGNALBOOST DB pro cellular amplifier kit significantly improves the performance of any cellular device on any network (except Nextel) experiencing weak signal inside of buildings. At the center of this kit is the DB Pro dual band (800/1900) amplifier with a new high gain design. An external omni directional gain antenna with multiple mounting options eliminates researching cell site locations and antenna pointing. The inside panel antenna which rebroadcasts the amplified signal is designed for optional in-wall mounting. All components are interconnected using provided standard TV cable (RG6) which is easily available and often found pre-installed, simplifying cable runs. The Wilson DB Pro kit is specifically designed to create a stronger signal on one or more rooms in a house or office. Broadcast distance for this kit and any other cellular amplifier kit is dependent upon the signal strength outside the building where the outside antenna is mounted, the size (gain of the amplifier) and the frequency that your carrier uses. 800MHz carries much farther than 1900MHz.
Easy to Install: Wilson Electronics designs and manufactures a full range of wireless amplifiers for in-building applications. The following steps provide a summary of the amplifier/antenna installation process. However, they are not a substitute for the complete installation instructions.
1. Select a location to install the amplifier that is away from excessive heat, direct sunlight and moisture. 2. Select a location on the roof of the building to install the outside antenna. Use a cell phone in test mode to find the strongest signal from the cell tower. Visit wilsonelectronics.com to find test mode function for your particular cell phone. 3. Select a location for the inside antenna, preferably in the center of where the signal needs to be amplified. Separation from amp to antenna must be at least 10 feet. 4. Verify that both the outside antenna and the inside antenna are connected before powering up the amplifier. Lightning protection is recommended for all in-building installations. 5. Separation distance between inside and outside antennas should be a minimum of 50 feet.
