An excellent antenna for close to medium distance reception. Televisor - Maricopa, AZ - 2/10/2015 2:04:47 AM The CM2016 antenna is designed for reception of Tv channels 7 thru 51 , in strong signal strength areas/locations.
VHF high band Tv channels 7 thru 13.
UHF Tv channels 14 thru 51.
Will also receive VHF low band Tv channels 2 thru 6 if the signal strengths are strong.
When the CM2016 is used in strong signal strength reception areas/locations.
A antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required.
A antenna system amplifier can be over loaded by strong signal strength Tv signals.
A overloaded antenna system amplifier will make reception worse.
If a antenna system amplifier is required because of a very long coax run and/or some weak signal strength Tv signals mixed in with the strong signal strength Tv signals and/or multiple Tv's connected , say 6 to 8 or more Tv's connected.
Then I recommend a Winegard LNA100 antenna system amplifier.
A antenna system amplifier is connected closer to the antenna.
The reason is , antenna system amplifiers , amplify and 'push' the signal through coax and splitters.
Antenna system amplifiers do not 'pull' signal through coax and splitters.
As always , any Tv antenna receives the best when no obstructions are in the way of the reception path between the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna.
Obstructions such as and not limited to , trees and tree leaves , roof/s - building/s.
So nice I bought two. OTA Lover - Homestead, FL - 4/20/2013 11:40:10 PM In Miami channels 7 and 10 are on the VHF high band and UHF only antennas won';t see them unless you are much closer than the 40 miles I am from the broadcasters. My first CM 2016 was broken by my landlord doing roof repairs. I bought another brand from SolidSignal (cheaper price) and regretted it as that unit was not as strong a performer. So just bought my second CM2016 and am so happy. Strong unit and strong performer.
Small little Dynamite Works Great BigBradf - UpstateSC, UpstateSC - 3/28/2013 Upstate SC Ham radio operator I love antennas this was just the right size to add to my overcrowed mast I installed about 2 ft. above roof line tried every direction with my 360 rotor. After exploring all it had to offer I aim at NNE and receive all local including one at 70 miles away. Channel 3 out of Charlotte NC. Price is right for a little winner. Feeds entire house when cable is out. 4
