Works spectacular PAllen - Angola, NY - 4/28/2015 10:42:49 AM Great
Strong signal - easy install MIchael - Beebe, AR - 1/9/2015 7:56:22 PM I put this Yagi antenna under an existing Channel Master CM-4228HD that was ignoring the available VHF signals. I added a Channel Master CM-7778 preamplifier to increase the gain on some of the fringe stations. I installed an old diplexer and suddenly I was receiving a strong single on every channel within 45 miles of me. I have an Air Force base that is almost directly in the path of the VHF transmitter I was aiming at. I expected to get some signal drop from the aircraft as they flew their pattern approaches but this antenna is very discriminating. No pixelating, no signal drop. The only problem I had with my order was the extended time it took to ship the order. It took a phone call to get the warehouse to ship the antenna.
Very good antenna digital TV - South Webster, OH - 8/15/2014 6:39:12 AM Had my doubts this would work since I am about 35 miles from tower. The antenna is rated to 40 miles. The signal seems more stable over the one I was replacing. Construction is good with only one piece of plastic. Thr rest is all metal. If you are in a weak signal area, go with the larger version. But if close to tower, This antenna does the job. This is a VHF HIGH ONLY antenna. Most stations are UHF now. This will not pick those up.
Kinda flimsy for Indiana winters, ice and snow ,etc. But for the price can get another. RRR - Logansport, IN - 2/13/2014 7:46:31 PM Works great ! I have on rooftop tripod with a cm 4228hd getting Indy stations 70 miles away.(probably 35ft in the air)Using a rca tvpramp1r. Had a winegard hd7697 on roof with antennacraft 10g202 but this combo is much much better !
Works great! Rick F - Los Angeles, Angeles CA - 3/28/2013 I got the suggestion from [@] users as a good antenna to compliment my existing UHF HD antenna.. They were correct.. Once I got this up on a 10 mast with the existing UHF I was able to get some of the stations that transmit on VHF frequencies just fine.Make sure you keep several feet of gap between this antenna and a UHF if theyre on the same mast -- 3-4 preferred.
I m glad i bought it... colonel - Stratford, tfordCT - 3/28/2013 I use this Y5713 for my combo with a 91XG(UHF) antenna joint by a UVSJ UHF VHF Band Separator/Combiner. Its great I got all the 7-13 missing channels right away 55 miles away. Piece of cake!! I was hooked for the size my wife did not like big antennas. Solid Signal price is the best.
Antenna does the job ATL-antenna-guy - Atlanta, Atlanta - 3/28/2013 Local Channel 8 (PBS physical channel freq. is 8) in Atlanta has a weak signal and the transmitter is 90 degrees away from the main group of TV station antennas (referenced from my location)... perfect situation for adding a VHF antenna. Even though I have to point the antenna through a building toward the transmitter the signal strength improved from 0--16% (UHF antenna only) to 49--65% (depend
Solved my issues Jim - Nashville & Cro, Nashville & Cro - 6/18/2012 I had issues with HI-VHF signals in two separate locations.Channel 8 in Nashville and Channel 10 in Knoxville.I both cases using this antenna with a preamp and fed into a Pico Macom UVSJ UHF VHF Band Separator/Combiner allowed good reception. As a bonus it also picked up a local LP transmitter on Channel 7 feeding RTV network.Well worth the minimal expense.I had considered making a cha
affordable Jimmy - Raleigh, NC - 8/26/2014 11:41:26 AM I purchased one of these & disassembled it. The rivet heads & element seams were face up allowing water to retain in the elements. Simply popping the rivets out & assembling it with seams down & #8 screws, with washers & hex head nuts. tightened it up. Now it will last longer than the factory assembly
