Both antenna (packaging) received in very good condition, surprised to find most of the aluminum elements bent on both antennas, one of them so badly bent/aluminum distorted I had to remove and hammer flat, I ended up doing the same of all the them. Antenna durability design appears OK, but with just 1 small screw to keep each elements in contact with the aluminum wiring compared solid compressed rivets found on other antennas, I would expect performance to drop over time as the aluminum corrodes.

Performance maybe slightly better than the (Eagle Aspen Pro-Brand DTV2BUHF) but maybe not as durability.

I would have expected better overall performance being it's listed as being: W=32 x L=3.5 x H=16.5 when it's only: W=21.25 x L=4.0 x H=16.125

Compact, light-weight, well-made, works fine

I bought two. I have one of them mounted only about 8 feet high in the rear porch and with a 25 foot lead-in RG6 cable direct to my 24 inch portable in the nook. It is aimed south & receives all full power and some low-power UHF stations that are 19 to 20 miles away on 1,000 foot towers over flat terrain. It also receives the two High-VHF stations transmitting over the channel 7 & 10 frequencies from a 20 mile distant, 1,000 foot shared tower.

The other one is 15 feet high on a mast facing the opposite direction of an existing High-VHF/UHF antenna which is aimed south. The purpose of HDB2X is to receive the UHF and High-VHF full-power stations to the north, 23 miles distant and it does just that. This little antenna is coupled to the other one & has a 30 foot lead-in RG6 cable to my 46 LCD TV.

I find this little antenna to be very simple, yet well-designed, made of all aluminum, except some plastic to frame the reflector. The antenna is all assembled using butterfly nuts, therefore, no tools are required. You would think it is German. What more could I ask for? I hope they continue to make this product line for years to come.

Great antenna, made well and easy to install.

This antenna is great. Easy to install. Picked up all my channels I wanted besides the vhf. Remember this is a uhf antenna and not designed for vhf. I just with there was a add on for vhf like some other brands. Overall its excellent. This antenna has wingnuts so you dont have to lug around tools when installing it, that is a big plus.

Excellant

I live outside of Portland. I installed this off the back of my trailer and just pointed North. I scanned in 41 stations, most in HD. Even during some strong storms, I have yet to lose a signal. It was easy to set up and install. The 60 degree "pickup" it gets makes it so simple. I highly recommend it.

It works!

I hung this in my window since I live on top of a 1000 ft high hill. I did a channel scan and got 18 channels. I was very surprised that I was able to pull in some Burlington VT. channels which are over 80 miles away. Can't wait to mount this on the roof and see if I get any better signals. For the money, it was a good investment. I purchased a winegard indoor antenna with pre-amp built in and the HDB2X worked just as well for 1/2 the money.
