The splitter heats up which scares me and the housing is only secured with an electrical zip tie, cheap! Sending it back, I hope they take it back

I live in a rural area and have two 100 mile antennas pointing in opposite directions. This amplifier sums both and amplifies the signal. Works really well, providing 20 db more gain than just a passive channel master summing box. This is my second unit. Lightning too out my first after 4 years.

I bought this same thing this summer and it went out within 1 to 2 months. I’m not sure if it got hit by lightning or not. Had to order it again. We’ll see how long it will last this time. Works great for bringing in more channels.
