The Altelix NF141208HA2 NEMA 4X Weatherproof Enclosure with 240VAC 400W Heating System and Aluminum Equipment Plate is ideal for protecting equipment from harsh environments and tampering. This rugged NEMA box is molded from durable and UV resistant fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) with a UL94-5V flame rating. It features a stainless steel continuous door hinge and stainless steel latches with provision for padlocks. The door is fully gasketed making this enclosure suitable for use indoors or outdoors.
This enclosure is 8 inches deep and features an extended lid for an increased equipment clearance. A reduced profile flat lid version is also available with 2 inches less depth, for applications where additional equipment clearance is not required. This configuration consists of the vented fiberglass NEMA enclosure with hinged lid and a 2.5mm thick finished aluminum plate. A terminal strip and ground lug are provided for simplified wiring on-site. One 1/2" liquid-tight gland is provided for the AC supply along with two PG9 cable glands for low voltage wiring.
The enclosure and plate can be drilled and modified by the installer to suit unique site requirements. Ideal for cold environments, this model also features a thermostat controlled 400W heating system. The heater turns on when the internal temperature reaches 43°F (6°C) and turns off when it rises to 59°F (15°C). The heater is situated below the mounting plate and wired internally so it does not interfere with user installed equipment. Four removable stainless steel mounting feet are included so that the enclosure can be securely mounted to a wall or other structure.
