AM FM Portable Radio Designed for Long-Range Reception and Audio Clarity

The purpose of the CCRadio-2E is to make weak signals strong and also to produce crisp, accurate audio for the spoken word.

AM performance comes from our Twin-Coil Ferrite® AM Antenna and traditional FM reception is exceptional in its ability to bring in a weak station clearly. Audio can be adjusted for accurate, warm voice rendition and good musical performance.

This radio also has the NOAA weather band and alert along with the 2-meter Ham band.

Since the CCRadio's original debut the external design has remained the same but there have been countless revisions inside to improve performance, durability and audio. It is one of the most popular portables manufactured and many experts feel it is the best AM radio made. It has evolved into C. Crane's flagship radio.

Great Radio in All Aspects!

The CC2TE is a complete radio with all the bells and whistles you can imagine (and some you may not have). The display is great with many options to meet your needs. I especially like the signal strength indicator. All buttons and dials are positioned for ease of use (especially the station recall buttons on top of the radio). The user manual is thorough and explains all functions in a clear and understandable manner. But the real standout feature is its reception on all bands, with AM being virtually unequalled on the market. FM and weather are clear and strong, and I am receiving some ham operators broadcasting on the 2-meter band. If you are looking for a radio that excels in performance and looks great (the titanium color option is a nice feature), the CC2E is well worth your consideration!

Great Radio Purchase

Was surprised for a very reasonable price I found this to be an excellent radio of high quality. Has a treble and bass control which brings voices on AM stations to your listening liking. Also has an excellent stereo sound with FM. One can’t go wrong purchasing this radio!

Have an original same model for at least 30 years. Only repair that was ever needed was to replace indicator light. Ordering another, same model.

A Good radio For The Casual Listener.

I am a radio DX hobbyist. On the AM the pluses are good selectivity, good image rejection, good spurious signal rejection of local stations, and a low noise floor. The downside is low volume sensitivity on weak AM signals. Using the select-a-antenna didn't do much good. FM is good. Generally I would rate this radio as good for the causal listener. Not a super DX machine radio.

I like the new options this radion has.

I'd had an identical C. Crane CRadio for 30+ years but the LCD display and the features it allows one to use haven't worked for years. The clock, and alarm settings were not visible, & some station buttons just did not work. So I appreciate this up-dated version.

THE ONE THING I WISH IT HAD, IS A SCAN BUTTON. ALL AND ALL, IT'S BEEN BETTER THAN ANY OTHER AM RADIO I HAVE HAD.I HAVE OWNED THIS FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS.

I HAVE HAD A DELUXE CC RADIO FOR A LONG TIME.PERHAPS TOO LONG, BECAUSE THE LED ON THE CLOCK AN RADIO ARE NOT REAL CLEAR, SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T READ SAME. THE PRESET BUTTONS FOR STATIONS ARE THE MOST RELIABLE, OTHERWISE I CAN'T GET TO STATIONS THAT I WANT.
