Televes Ellipse Mix Amplified TV Antenna - LTE Ready (148883)

I’m very impressed with this antenna. It’s constructed well and fairly compact. I was able to bring the parts into my attic and assemble it easily in a difficult area and still have plenty of room to aim it in the right direction. If I had any complaints it would be, that the reflector assemblies don’t clip in the nicest during the assembly and that gave myself concern that it wasn’t assembled correctly. Fortunately their customer support was great to reassure me it was ok. Secondly, the area the coax attaches to the antenna is a bit awkward…nothing that bad though. I would also prefer if the mount was behind the VHF antenna portion so that it wasn’t as easy to interfere with the mounting point. Reception has been excellent. I pull in all the stations of every color listed on antenna station analysis sites even through a 3 way splitter with no additional amplification beyond the included preamp.

Excellent product. Building it was easy all snap no screws. Not flimsy sturdy heavy gauge plastics. Still light weight. Very good reception better than any indoor junk antennas. Well worth the money

So far I've been very happy with the Televes 148883 Antenna. I tried it out first in my attic (30 ft above ground) and was able to receive Seattle stations 50+ miles away, but somewhat sporadically. I moved it to the roof today, so there is no blockage and its 10 5 feet higher. So far I've added a few channels, and I get all four major stations - ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, as well as a slew of other stations.

Bought this antenna to replace a 45 year old Channel Master . Mounted it on a J pole under 12 feet high. This relatively small antenna with included amplifier is outperforming anything we have ever had with any mount. Televes equipment and Solid Signal service has been unsurpassed! Could not be happier!

Very good! Probably very good because the amp. is from the same company and is matched to the antenna. Stations that we could barely receive are now coming in at 80, 90 and even 100%. I'm very pleased. The cell filter and splitter are also very good things to have as well. I put the TV on one side of the splitter and the DVR on the other. So that we don't always have to watch the TV through the DVR. We get a better picture that way. Also we can record and watch something different. The antenna was easy to put assemble and install. The coax is a tad bit difficult to attach to the antenna, but it only happens once so it ain't the end of the world. I should mention that we are about 50 miles from the stations. In Knoxville all of the stations broadcast from the same location, which is very helpful for me. All in all I'm very pleased with this antenna. But, as they say, "have you heard the story about the man who fell of the 10 story building?"

Good antenna great price

I have used a channel master that was a hand me down from my father 37 years after he used it for at least 17 years prior to that. It served us well until about two years ago when I started losing reception and channels we did get often pixelated. Our rabbit ears report indicated if we were to gain our stations back we needed a large top of the line antennae at least 30 feet in the air and would need a powered splitter to feed 4 tvs. Researched and bought a Televes Ellipse with its T force amplifier. I mounted it to the old mast from a failed Dish application. It is only about 15 feet above ground. Very happy to report we now have all of available channels with the best reception ever. No pixelation at all. I am overjoyed that we now get all our local channels once more. Could not be happier with this antennae!

Awesome Antenna, assembles easy and it is easy to install. Great signal from an OTA antenna, I live in a valley and it still pulled in over 85 crystal clear channels. Highly recommend!

This Ellipse antenna was recommended to me by several people for my area. I do not have any mountains or large obstacles between the towers and my house. My previous GE outdoor antenna from Walmart crapped out randomly and i lost 75% of my channels. Checked everything in my setup and replaced any suspicious components. Nothing fixed the issue until i installed the Ellipse. I instantly got all my channels back, not at 30-32 dB and signal strength is steady at 98-100%. I also went from 52-67 channels and even some further than 50 miles away. The setup was easy and it's light enough to carry on a steep roof without issue. Televes made it easy to assemble, instructions were clear, and it is much more sturdy than the GE antenna i had. Hope it lasts at least 5 years for me as it was more money than i wanted to spend an on antenna, but it's a great quality antenna and works fantastic.
