Seems to help

I don't have a signal meter on my TV, so it is hard to be specific about any benefit -- all I have to go by is personal observation. Based on what I can see, I am doubtful that the unit provided 30 dB gain. There are no new channels, but I didn't expect or need any -- I am at the very fringe of the reception area (45 miles and my antenna is a chimney mount with pre-amp on a one-story ranch... so maybe 25 ft. at best). I have two channels (NBC and CW affiliates) that are 2 degrees over from where all the other channels are and those two can be spotty depending on time of day and weather. This unit seems to have stabilized those channels for the most part, but they still experience sporadic loss of signal or interference (not sure which). So, I think it has helped some, but not as much as I has had hoped. I'm still experimenting with variable gain control to see if that has any effect or if there is a "sweet spot."

Worth It

Works great. I'm about 50 miles out from the towers, helps boost the weaker signals.

Great Distribution Amplifier For OTA TV

I highly recommend this DA for over the air tv. It brought up the weakest channel by 10db and some of the other channels as well.
