Hands down the best Satellite DVR

Pros: Fast, 16 channel recording at once plus 2 OTA recordings if you have the adapter for 18 channels. Built in software is good, includes a trial to filter language if you have kids. Was easy to install and activate. Did a manual firmware update with no problems.
Cons: Having some trouble with Dish Anywhere. But I'm sure the resolution will come.
Summary: I go straight from my 1000.2 WA dish into back of Hopper 3. That's it.
Hopper 3 Needs Latest Dish Antenna

Last week I ordered the Hopper 3 when my Dish 722 went belly up. Today the new Hopper 3 arrived and I tried to install it. After waiting 45 minutes to finish the Test Installation phase, I called Solid Signal Tech Support. The discussion I had with tech was about my antenna. The Hopper 3 will NOT work with the Dish antenna I have been using with different Dish receivers for 10 years. It seems that you need some new one that supports the Hopper 3.
