Shipping charges killed the deal

Better than before

Anrenna definitely improved my reception. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was. I'm not sure what the fix is, but where the coax adapter attaches to the antenna, they're held on with wing nuts. It is difficult to try to tighten down the wing nuts without breaking the wire on the adapter. I'm sure there's a better solution, but I'll leave that up to the engineers to figure that out.

I had been using a directional FM antenna (Radio Shack 15-2163) as a combo Low VHF TV and FM radio antenna. Unfortunately, the FM station transmitters are scattered around the area, so the HD-6010 FM directional allowed me to receive FM stations with a 360 degree view, increasing the total number of stations received by a 2X factor. Most distant station received is a scratchy WHOM transmitting from atop Mt Washington over 100 air miles away! The RS directional is still in service for Low VHF stations broadcasting on RF channels 5 & 6 here in the Boston area. Also, the first shipment of this antenna got stuck at a FedEx transfer center. Dave at Solid Signal was quick to send a new copy!

We went from 11 FM stations to 27 just by installing the antenna. It included a mast which made the installation that much easier. The antenna is out back of our house and does not sit above our roof line. $20 less expensive than the big box stores and shipping was fast.
