Great DVR

The HR 24 DVR is just watch I was looking. I was tired of calling DirecTV and them always wanting to send Me a Genie DVR. It was so much easier dealing with Solid Signal. I am glad my account is through Solid Signal and will look for them to any issue I might face in the future. This was a little more of a challenge to get to work than my H24. However, after several tries of selecting my satellite I was using I got it to work fine.
Great Service and Support

I have 5 older receivers and one of them went bad and was disappointed o find out that DirecTv could not help me to replace only the receiver without upgrading my whole system including the dish to their Genie system. I searched the web and found that Solid Signal is a 3rd part distributor of DirecTv equipment and support. I ordered a receiver online through their web site and it was delivered within a few days. One I had it set up, I called their support and was up and activated in minutes. Great support service. Better support than DirecTv itself. Thanks Solid Signal.
Upgraded from a SD reciever to the HR24. Very stylish looking compared to the other 2 DVRs I have and a much better response time with onscreen menus.

After upgrading through DirecTV and always receiving outdated refurbished receivers that looked like they had been in a knife fight, I read about Solid Signal. I am very pleased with my purchase. Received the HR24 very quickly and a Solid Signal representative called the day I received to ask if I needed any assistance getting it set up. I would recommend this site to anyone looking to upgrade and tired of the service they receive from DirecTV and I will be using them in the future.

My old dvr finally quit (9 years). I updated the dish, which I installed my self and the HR24 HD DVR. My old one was a tivo unit which it worked like a champ. The hr24 works even better, it is just a bit slow sometimes when changing channels. Recording a show or shows is much easier than my old dvr. I also added an AM21 unit for some local channels that are not carried by directv, that is so cool that those ota channels show up on the guide and I can record them also.

Finally A receiver that can change channels quickly. The older models (HR23 and older) are frustratingly slow. The HR24responds as you press the buttons on the remote.

I tried twice to get this DVR from DIRECTV as an upgrade.Both times I was sent a refurbished HR22 and Ive been a DIRECTV customer since 1998.DIRECTV says that they have no idea what is being shipped which is ridiculous and just poor business.They really hacked me off.Only after I threatened to cancel my service did they tell me about the Solid Signal website.Thank you Solid Signal for s

I purchased a DirecTV satellite dish the HR24 DVR and the H25 receiver from Solid Signal. However because I did not get the equipment directly from DirecTV I lost the Whole Home $10/month discount. I received a letter from DirecTV stating that purchases from Solid Signal are not eligible for the discount. If I had known that I would have purchased and installed the satellite dish myself then ca
