Would buy again

On our RV, helps improve cell signal in remote areas. We use Zoom several times a week and wouldn't have a strong enough signal without the we boost. Would be 5 stars except for 3 things; mounting tabs for outside cable don't stick, no mounting screws for the booster, no trim plate where cable penetrates inside of RV.

Good buy

Works great. Now instead of 2 bars I get 4

Difficult to install booster to bracket

by

I could not find the serial number? Mounting the bracket on the wall then snapping the booster into the bracket was almost impossible. I had to break off the spacer tabs on one side to get the booster to snap into place.

Works as it should, but you need the right antenna

by

It most definitely will boost your bandwidth and clarity for calls, streaming and hotspotting your phone for work. BUT you need the right external antenna installed as high as you can get with clearance all around it, and the inside antenna needs to be spaced far enough away from the external antenna to reduce interference. With that said the closer you get your phone to the inside antenna the better. But if you travel like we do and absolutely need connectivity in remote places, this will do the trick.

I put the unit on my houseboat, where we didn't have any reception on Verizon. After installation we have 2 bars, and LTE works. After this great experience I ordered one for our home because we live in the mountain and the service was marginal. Now the the home unit the service is great.

Might rethink a second purchase.

For the price I was under the impression I would not have to be right next to the inside antenna for a noticeable boost. Product did not meet advertised expectations.

Don't buy

by

This product claims multiple users the only way it improves cell service is if you are touching the inside antenna so I was dis satisfied because three kids fighting to hold the inside antenna was quite Ridiculous

A bit of buy's remorse.

The speed improvement was not what I expected. Maybe I should have purchased the kit with the best antenna. Using this with our camper, we got download speeds of 8 mb outside without Weboost measured with the Speedtest app. Inside the camper we got 5mb with the WeBoost disconnected and 8 mb with it connected.. Guess I was hoping for more. We watched YouTubeTV and had lots of buffering that may have been due to throttling by Verizon.

I use WeeBoost in my RV. I have a friend who has been looking for a solution to no cell signal at his property in the mountains of Idaho. I visited there last weekend and discovered that I could get two and sometimes three bars of signal. Did a speed test and found it adequate to make calls and send messages. In the near future we are going to return to the property with a longer antenna pole to see if we can increase the bars. I am very pleased with this product. Have already purchased an additional unit.

Absolutely works!

This thing is a must when working from a camper. It absolutely works if you understand how it works. We have this on our fifth wheel camper. External antenna on the rear and internal antenna at the front. The internal antenna can be placed in the bedroom or the cable ran below the bedroom so we can use it just outside the camper. Put your phone or hotspot near the antenna, then we use a router to extend the WiFi signal so we have internet all around the campsite. Yes, there's only an effective range within a few feet of the inside antenna, but that's to prevent feedback (oscillation) and helps the system perform a maximum signal boost. Like a microphone and speaker, they need to be distant from each other if you want the speaker to be loud.
