Made one trip to glacier without the extender and had 4G only a couple times throughout the trip. Purchased it and installed it and took a second trip and only was without cell phone service a few times. We even had a little tiny bit of service in the most remote areas where we boondocked!! It is not magic It does not pick up signals where there are none but it certainly picks up ones you can't find without it. The back does not connect well so often I have to replug it in because It just kind of sets on it It doesn't screw in So any movement tends to make it unplug and it's in a car so there's movement.. big down side They really need to fix that. But while everything is plugged in it does definitely make a difference for us, I would recommend it however make sure you're paying attention to the back of the plug and put it someplace where it will move less and not get bumped.
It worked...not for long

I was excited to have bought this product. I do a lot of driving and sometimes I vanlife for 2-6 months but when I installed this unit it worked for about a week and then it started to not acquire any signal. It would get hot and stop working. I either need my money back or they need to send me a new one.
