Winegard Platinum Outdoor TV Antenna VHF UHF FM (HD8200U)

Good antenna, take your time putting it together, instructions are good, the only thing missing was one bolt and nut, but I was able to find another one in my shop. Used a telescopic pole and set antenna at 30', scanned channels and picked up 42 channels, readjust the azimuth using www.RabbitEars.com web site information and rescanned and picked up 74 channels.

Needed to replace a 10-15 year old tv antenna at my hunting camp in rural, central GA. Customer service helped me find the right antenna. Assembly took a few hours (I’m 70 yr old and slow) but instructions were easy to follow and assembly went without issue. I mounted the new antenna on the old pole, reattached the coaxial cable and rescanned the tv channels. The antenna performed as expected and as described by customer service. I am more than pleased with the entire experience start to finish. I am more than happy to recommend Solid Signal.

Just got it installed. Works as it should. It was a replacement for one just like it that was installed 40 years ago. Hope this one lasts that long.

This 8200 is great for long distances, BUT too WIDE and BULKY while installing on a guyed tower. BEST to get the 7698P, which has narrow VHF elements and is pulled up EASILY to the top. IMPORTANT-- the 7698P WILL RECEIVE Ch.2-6 if they are in you're area!!!! The description by vendors IS DECEIVING. They trick you into thinking only 7- on up is the rule. NOT if 2-6 are broadcasting on your area!!! PLUS-- the Televes560383 AMP is the BEST!!! My Winegard AP8275 could not give me more than 50% signal strength on TV!! EVEN local stations!! But this TELEVES goes to the MAX on signal strength bars!!! AND pulls in any DEEPEST FRINGE ones, although temporarily, that Winegard could not!!!!

We live in river valley about 50 miles from most of the transmission towers. Getting excellent picture and sound quality on all broadcasts in area. Good quality antenna!!

Southest Iowa receiving 40 plus channels 56 to 62 miles away on this HD8200U. This antenna will receive uhf and high-low vhf. The LOW VHF signal is per the wide large elements at 66-MGHZ which is neccesary to get WHBF Rock island IL. I am using the winegard LNA200 preamp on the antenna mast...from that point down through the ground block then in to a indoor 4 way nonpowered splitter.. that equals 35ft rg6 coax. From there on it travels down 1-45ft, 1-40ft, 2-30ft rg6 coax to each seperate TV. The antenna is aimed through a forest of 60 ft oak trees at 25ft high. The low vhf channel pixels at certain times during weather and my large trees. Assemble this on the ground per the you tube video. I carried it up the ladder and placed it on a 3ft tripod mount and 5.5 ft mast. With one hand over my head I aimed upward going up the ladder to the roof. It is very light in weight for its massive size. It does the job.

Ok this is no 2 review I also use this for fm and am radio on am this picks up the high bands 850 Nashville 870 New Orleans it picks up distance real good am now FM FM HD it really picks up very very good now my zip 32444i getHD as far away as thomasville Ga Tallahassee my last antenna was a channel master 3671 it’s a big antenna but radio reception wasn’t very good . The 8200 HD will also pick up 4K if your local Broadcaster is putting out 4K . This is an excellent antenna for cutting the cord I love the module it’s very easy to assemble very very sharp pictures you’ll think your Blu Ray player is in the picture quality is that good .
