DIRECTV Gemini Air Streaming Device for Internet-only Customers (GEMINI-AIR)

Works great and all packaged well!

I purchased this device as we are switching from DIRECTV Sat to DIRECTV Streaming. I tried using the Amazon Fire stick which works well, but my wife wants a remote that she can just select the channel number and it switches. While this device is a little pricey compared to Firestick, it works great. You can also use google and speak commands into the remote and it happens. My wife had reservations at first since it was not exactly like the DIRECTV Sat remote. She now loves this remote, it gives us options to pull up other apps as well. We have two homes and I’m now purchasing another DIRECTV Gemini air for it.

Just got the device. Seemed flaky at first, but then I realized that the batteries delivered with the device's remote were already weak or dead. Once I replaced the batteries, device responded and worked as expected. Been a DirecTV customer for years, and this seems like a suitable streaming replacement. So far, so good.

So much better than Firestick. Using the Gemini will allow you to use all of the features Directv stream has to offer.

I purchased a second Directv Gemini Air for our other home. This device has worked well since installing it a couple of weeks ago, at our farm. We watch a lot of sports, so I downloaded the ESPN App. Now the wife can go from Directv to ESPN if the game is not on a channel. Steaming is 10 time better than Sat, and this device makes it a dream

I was a bit hesitant to order the Gemini Air as I had one of the original Osprey boxes from AT&T. That box was horribly slow, and I didn't expect much improvement from the Air especially after reading some comments online, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Gemini Air feels like a speed demon compared to the original Osprey box and I enjoy the nicety of having a dedicated remote rather than relying on the remote for whatever streaming device I run the DirecTV app on.

It works great, it’s faster than the stream box and the picture on our 85” in 4k is exceptional. Only wish they had an adapter for Ethernet, but it does seem to work as it’s supposed to.

This is exactly what my wife wanted, a streaming device that almost mimmic's regular Satellite Service. The Remote works like are old Direct Tv Remotes. Easy Peasy.

Excellent product , and after other streaming services that froze, hard to change channels, voice did not match lips etc ,glad to have a device that is easy to maneuver with great quality !
