It Works!

When we upgraded from our “obsolete” model receiver to a new DishHopper 3, we found out we could no longer receive our over the air channels through our receiver and they would not show up in the Guide, unless we purchased a separate OTA adapter. After a few days of research(and a couple days of angst) this is the one we purchased. We are pleased to report our free antenna channels are back and show up in the Dish guide, and most of the time we are able to use just one remote (except for a few streaming channels) instead of the constant back-and-forth between Dish and our Smart TV. Our adapter arrived quickly and installation was relatively easy.

I bought this device simply to integrate our OTA antenna programming into the Dish guide, and it works great! I subsequently discovered I could delete the local channel package from the Dish programming; now this device will pay for itself, including tax/shipping, in four months! Great product!

To get all your locals on you Hopper

I ordered this with a Hopper 3. I declined getting locals on my satellite subscription because Dish Network only carries the main locals where as I can get 48 locals with an antenna. It is simple to install as all you really do is plug it into a USB port on the Hopper and plug your antenna into the other end. The Hopper 3 automatically sees it and then opens the screen to scan for channels. The only issue I had was that I had to rescan the channels more than once to finally get all of my available channels. Once I did that, all was fine and I now get 48 local channels on my Hopper 3.
