weBoost Certified Refurbished Drive 4G-X OTR Cellular Signal Booster Kit Truck Edition (470210R)

I purchased the OTR kit and it comes with everything you need. The antenna was overly tall so I removed the shaft extension for a lower profile mount. I have had it installed in my '95 Kenworth W900 for several months and it has performed well. In weak service areas it keeps the calls connected. There are still some remote areas in the country where I drop or can't call out.

Plan and simple the unit works as advertised.

Used in A 40' Class A diesel Motor home. Tested in weak signal area where we went from 0/1 bar to 2 bars and received solid Direct TV mirroring with the Yagi directional antenna mounted on the mast of the rooftop crank-up TV antenna. This met our primary need. While on the road, cell coverage dropped out several times with the booster off and about 80% of the time we re-achieved communication with the We Boost turned on using theTrucker omni antenna mounted on the front mirror. We have had no problems with it locking up using either antenna.

I bought it because we travel and stay in our rv in areas with limited reception. The weboost gives us the reception to use our phones.

My husband and I drive truck and run in Montana and Wyoming a lot. We haul cattle so we are off the grid quite a bit. It has really helped and We get service in places We didn't before.

I've seen cheap supposed cell boosters provide marginal, if any, performance gains on cell phones in rural locations. I decided to spend significantly more in hopes of getting tangible increases in performance. I'm using the 4G-X OTR in an off-grid RV, in a rural location that gets very weak cell coverage. Using the phone outside gets around -110dBm and the internet is pretty slow but managable. Going in the camper it jumps to -125dBm, and basically makes data completely unusable. I stalling the 4G-X OTR in the RV, I installed the mirror-mount antenna on an awning arm. (requiring a bit longer screws than supplied) and mounted the inside antenna about 18 inches from where I typically sit. Powering up the system increased signal strength dramatically to -90dBm and went from one bar to full bars on indicator. Internet activity is super fast now, very much like when I go into town. I haven't compared battery life before and after. I'm sure it will help, but trying to get a baseline comparison is challenging with the multitude of background apps using power randomly. I also haven't placed a phone call yet to see if the amplifier creates a delay in the boost cicuitry.

The amplifier works well, increasing my signal the second i turn it on. I'm able to talk in locations that I haven't been able to before and the customer service was excellent helping me set it up and get what i need for my truck.

The booster works well in weak service areas but there are still dead spots around the country. I took the lower extension off my antenna and like the look of that much better and it doesn't seem to affect performance. I like the fact that all necessary components are together in one box. Overall seems to be a great product.

My wife and I travel to many far-flung places with minimal cell reception. This booster has enabled us to stay in contact when necessary; either on the road or in camp. Don't want to be in touch, then turn it off. Super easy to install and there is no maintenance. Free to use on our cell network. Great selections of accessories and antennas to fit any application. Thinking of buying a couple more for additional vehicles! Thanks for a great product!

Works ok. Boosts the signal a little bit, but not always. Not much help for weak signals.
