Solid Signal A+….this Antenna C-

by

Solid Signal is great. This antenna did not work for me. It is flimsy, sharp edges, and came with bent parts. I was able to straighten them out but reception was poor. The Televes was next choice and has worked out ok.

Good antenna, but takes some work

The antenna takes awhile to assemble. I recommend you watch the youtube video a couple times first. There are about 14 steps. Most of the assembly is easy with one exception, that is putting front and rear sections into the main shaft. They just don't fit. I had to use a sledge hammer to get them together. The front was the worse, the rear, not so much. After assembly and placement on the pole, the reception is great!

Everyone was right, the antenna is big! Just like some others had to do, some of the holes didn't line up and had to be drilled to fit the bolts. The last thing is, the antenna transmitter ends are so small that a connector broke off while I was attaching it. I put a new one on but I will probably buy a new one to put on.

great price

good antenna works great in rural area

Good Quality- aluminum parts

I live 60 miles from Milwaukee and Green Bay so getting broadcast signals is a challenge. I pointed my 14' ant toward Milwaukee, with the back of the ant toward Green Bay. Stations would be good half the day then not, so I decided to get a 2nd antenna (HD8200xl) and point it toward Green Bay. I joined the two antenna wires at Preamp(CM-7779HD). Both antennas are pointed directly at their desired city and that made a difference! Good Quality My old 14' antenna had plastic tabs to snap in each fin and these plastic parts are breaking from sun rot(I have to zip tie them in place). The HD8200xl use aluminum to snap in the fins. This is better quality and less roof climbing and maintenance. I did have to use an ice pick to line up the Hd8200xl holes because they are drilled with precision. Harder to get the bold in, but more stable in the high winds on the lake. S.Signal web site would not let me purchase with a credit card on the web site. I had to call in my order

This is a large antenna but is well worth it especially in my area ...very rural and mountains. Be sure you have help and take time to watch the video, very helpful.

So easy, great respeptipn...

Totally satisfied Iwill recommend that you watch the video for assembly. So far so good we bring in 30 channels in a fixed position. Heavy rain we still grab a few. Beats giving money to a cable carrier. Purchase the postage insurance the antenna is not braced in the box. Mine had a lot of bent reflectors i was lucky to straightened them. BTW I am 59 yrs old and I assembled and installed this by myself. Don't try this at home kids.😁
