Good antenna

Good reception on several channels not received before. A little big and bulky to handle.
41 Miles West of Chicago

Shipment received next day (from MI to IL). Live 41 miles west of Chicago. With this antenna purchase, I also bought and connected a Televes Mast amplifier (560383). Channels received jumped from 56 to 106 (including ATSC 3.0 channels). Quality improved for core stations like ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. Signal Strength and Quality is now 100% for those stations. Prior to these purchases, NBC and FOX signal quality was below 55%. ABC and CBS signal quality was high 60%.
Good Product and the very best Customer Service

The antenna was shipped quickly but there was a problem with the reflector. I called Solid Signal and my call was handled by a very knowledgeable customer service representative. I explained the issue and followed up with photos of the problem. In just a few hours I received a call back and they said they did not have the replacement part so they sent me a new antenna. The antenna is the best VHF lo-high and UHF combination antenna I have ever had. Our home is in between two cities and it has very poor coverage. With the HD8200XL and a preamp we have seen 50+ channels most 70 miles or more away where TV Fool and the like show only about 10 in the good and fair range. Most everything we get is in the poor range or not even showing up on the chart. This is just the best company to deal with. I recommend Solid Signal without reservation and they will be the first stop for me with any future antenna needs.

I Live 97 miles from Austin,Tx, I bought the HD8200XL 2 years ago,put it on a rotor 30ft up,with a low noise 36db booster,and low loss RG6 cable,about 100ft I pick up all of the major Austin,Tx stations,Victoria,Tx stations,Corpus Christi,Even Laredo,Tx with no pixelation! All Day & Night, At night I pick up Houston,Sometimes Dallas,Tx, & Waco,Tx as Well..Replace an old Archer VU180 Antenna with this one and it has actually done better..Very satisfied!!

I have not had a chance to hook it up yet, but I did see one at Radio Shack for $190.00 and was exactly what I was looking for. The other models that are on the market (own one of those newer models and do not like it). My father had 3 antennas just like this one, and worked great. Unfortunately I need to reshingle the roof first, before I can secure the 150' mast to the side of the house for support.
